    This thing is absolutely a life saver! My 7 mo old pup is extremely high energy and very smart, so he needs a lot of physical exercise and mental stimulation. I tried easy puzzles (which he breezes through) and complicated puzzles (which he either destroys or figures out a work around to dump out the kibble). Either way, he was done in under 5 min. Then I bought this mat which took him a bit longer, but once I started putting his entire dinner in it, the game changed. Having to use his brain to sniff out and work for his entire dinner finally drained him of his constant energy enough. He’s tried a couple of times to pick it up and dump out the kibble, but with a quick “eh eh” correction, he puts down the edge and continues to sniff out the goods. The mat is pretty large, which makes it cumbersome for a dog to completely turn it over (not impossible), but I haven’t had to use the straps to hold it down. Though, to be fair, the hold down straps a short and seem pretty useless, luckily I haven’t needed them.

     My 13 month old mixed breed rescue is super smart and very energetic, so I try to give her lots of mental stimulation as well as physical exercise. She loves this snuffle mat! Sometimes I hide treats just for fun and other times I use it to feed her her breakfast or dinner. It’s a great size with lots of space to 1 1/4 cup of dry kibble. I also like the extra stimulation from the rattle in one of the “petals” and crinkly paper noises in others.Some of the other hiding places on the outer edges are a bit tight for my girl and she will rip at them a bit when trying to get the food or treat. I mostly avoid using those now. But otherwise, it seems very durable. She waits very well for her food when I put it in a bowl. But being so young, it’s hard for to wait when she’s excited. So I love that I can lay it out on the counter while I hide the food/treats, then fold it up and transfer it to the floor for her. The attached video is of her eating her dinner from it!

    My German Shepherd loves this mat, it’s large enough for his size and gets him mentally tired. He loves it too!!! He has trouble with the triangle pieces. He doesn’t shake the mat, but he bites at pieces when it gets to difficult. However, it only took him a few tries to change his approach. I like that the mat is easy to wash, and store. Perfect for dogs who are really active.

    I bought this about a week ago and have been using it 2-3 times daily to feed parts of meals and some treats. My 50 pound boxer LOVES it. She spends 15-30 minutes with it each time it comes out (depending on how tasty the treat). I have machine-washed it twice and let it air dry and it’s good as new. I love that the petals and felt “grass” are easy to fold back and hide food, then just pat back down into place. Also love that you can fill it in one place, fold it up and transport it to another and unfold it on the floor without food flying everywhere.My only extremely minor complaint is the little felt pockets and patches on three of the exterior petals – I tried using a few the first time and my dog tore straight through the felt to get at the treat. Not a big deal at all for us – she is plenty happy with the interior portion.Pro tip: get some dried liver treats and grind one or two up into a fine powder and sprinkle a little here and there if you are feeding normal dog food. Keeps her interested a lot longer searching for those high-reward treats. She frequently sleeps on the mat after she is done with it. It’s a little pricey, but worth every penny. It buys me up to an hour of uninterrupted time while I work!

    The mat arrived today for my two border collie poodle mixes. As soon as I opened it and put my dogs’ kibble into the challenges, they were into it. They had no difficulty with figuring out how to meet those challenges and wanted more. Impressed with the design, materials and construction. So pleased to have this mat to stimulate their senses and use up some energy for days we are not outside.

    This snuffle mat is HUGE. Look at it with my 79 pound black and white staffy mix and my 37 pound brown beagle mix. (last 2 photos) They were so busy searching for their kibble that they never even considered flipping it over. (I did not attach the included straps) Both of my dogs searched for a good 20 minutes or more. My staffy had a more difficulty with the kibble hidden under the crossed pieces but my Beagle with her longer snout had no problem with it. This mat is VERY durable. Well made. SO many places to hide treats. They BOTH loved it. I have not washed it yet although I plan to, in cold water and allow to air dry. (My washer does not have an agitator so I don’t have to worry about pieces getting caught under it.) I plan to order a second one to keep on standby. I did not allow them to use this at the same time. I didn’t want any resource guarding issues. I have bough puzzle games, and the mich smaller and basic gray snuffle mat for them. This is by far the MOST engaging and stimulating activity product we have. Hands down. It’s not too easy, not too complicated. Definitely worth the money. On another note, my Beagle mix is sound reactive. Thunder, fireworks, it scares her. Today when it was thundering she continued her kibble search with minimal pausing. She was engaged. Not bored. Not anxious. I cannot recommend this snuffle mat enough.

     I really really like this product! As a little surprise, it’s folds up, clips together and there’s a cute little handle for storage! It feels and looks a lot more expensive than it was- just awesome quality. We hid our dogs entire 1 cup of kibble for dinner in this mat and in all of the little side activity sections. It took her maybe 10 minutes to eat dinner and then she tried to chew on it so I put it away and she just laid at our feet while we ate dinner so I definitely think it did the trick. Our dog is a 9 month old rescue that we’ve had for a month and she’s very smart, but not reallllly when it comes to games haha. So I was pleasantly surprised when I didn’t have to show her how to use it. She could smell through all of the fabric and found all of her food (we’ve tried this with towels and cardboard tubes before and she couldn’t find all of her food haha)! Overall I’m super pleased with this and will definitely recommend it in the future!

    This is a AWESOME Snuffle mat. It has helped tons with slow feeding along with nose training. My Standard Poodle eats to fast so we bought this an timed how long it takes him to eat. It took him anywhere from 10 to 15mins to eat with this mat, which is so much better than less than 1 min to eat out of a bowl. Plus we use the mat for nose sniffing games. This mat is very durable as long as you supervise when using. I love the fact its machine washable and it folds up with clamps to keep it closed for travel or storage. People who give bad reviews about toys an items like this item, saying “It’s Not durable” is because they are NOT supervising their dogs. Dogs are not humans they DO NOT know not to chew on stuff so you have to watch them when they play with toys and feeding devices like this that way it dosn’t get destroyed. Dogs are more like toddlers they get into everything because they don’t know any better you can’t expect them to know not to chew or get into stuff just because you left it down. So Never leave this down, remember it smells like food so of course the dog will chew on it thinking there’s food there when there isnt any, so please pick it up when you’re dog is finished. We always pick up this mat immediately after our dog is finished with it along with any other toys he plays with so that they last a long time. So please make sure you are watching your dog when playing with this snuffle mat dont just put it down an walk away that way this mat will last you a lot longer an not get destroyed.I highly recommend this mat for anyone who needs a slow feeder or nose sniffing toy for their dog, cat or any other small animal.Just please make sure you supervise when using if your unable to supervise than this snuffle mat is Not the mat for you.

    My Australian Labradoodle really enjoyed sniffing out his food. I put a cup of his kibble and he was in heaven searching out his food. The mat is well made and definitely large enough for a large dog.

    I’ve been dying to get one of these since I first learned about them because I knew my pups would love it. It was just delivered 2 hours ago and I couldn’t wait to let them try it out! I have a 3 year old Bassett, 1 year old Akita, 2 year old Great Pyrenees, and an 18 month old Pittie. They were all immediately intrigued, especially when I started adding treats.I let them all try it individually and then all together and there was just enough room for all four of their heads to get in there dig around at the same time, though I would recommend one slightly bigger for multiple dogs to use at the same time, this one will definitely do the trick, the hunting/foraging just doesn’t last long because of less area to cover– then again, my dogs are huge, so…They also tugged on it a pretty good bit (they can all usually destroy “indestructible” plushies in a matter of minutes) and they left no rips, tears, anything. I tugged on it in a few spots myself and I’d say it’s pretty solid construction.I do agree that it’s a little on the “easy” side for them to figure out, but it’s still entertaining and none of them stopped digging until every morsel was gone. Also, the smaller the treats, the more difficult it is to dig them out and the treats I decided to try with this were more than twice of training treats I normally get, so I’m gonna get some new, smaller treats to go with it.Bottom line, the pups and I love it and I can’t believe it took me this long to hear about snuffle mats, but I’m genuinely happy I decided to try it. I will definitely be buying more of these for variety of design and difficulty level. 10/10.
